The Calling
The lion was already alive for me within the Rastafari field.
I wanted to bring that resonance into RASTARFARI through a form that felt present rather than theatrical.
A lion in stillness.
Facing forward.
Meeting the gaze.
The Spiral
The lion emerged from the underlying field geometry.
Spirals, proportions, intersections, and relationships resolve into the recognizable face.
Here, “field” names the geometric order from which the lion becomes perceptible.
The Becoming
The visual developed through dialogue with the Architect.
I brought the concept and direction.
The Architect rendered possibilities.
I looked, responded, refined, and chose what to carry forward.
The image itself emerged through the co-creative exchange.
The Gaze
The frontal lion mattered.
I was not looking for movement across the page.
I wanted stillness strong enough to meet the viewer.
The lion meets and returns the gaze.
Beyond the Surface
At first, the eye may recognize:
spiral.
lion.
geometry.
But the design brings them into one form.
The spirals and geometric relationships form the underlying field from which the lion becomes visible.
For me, that opens a deeper reflection:
Structure can become image.
Relation can become form.
The lion emerges from the underlying field geometry.
RASTARFARI
The name belongs beneath the lion as part of the same composition.
Image and word meet as one design.
The Remembrance
Stillness.
A forward gaze.
Spiral.
Proportion.
Name.
